This is a character nicknamed "Beanstalk" created for a new story on Amazonix.com.
Something strange happened. I've always considered the art I do as work, but it was always a labor of love. Since starting amazonix.com, it's never been truer that it was work, but I never minded it.
I was dragging ass on finishing this character up. I wanted to use some conforming clothing instead of second skins, lessening the amount of work that would go into customized textures. After getting disgusted with the inefficiencies of clothing for my purposes (extreme amounts of poses and renders without having to concern myself with tweaking to compensate for poke-through, etc. ) I decided to dump everything except the shirt and shoes and use second skins for the socks and under-shirt clothing.
That was when I lost motivation for a bit. Didn't want to do the work.
I got over that in a hurry when saw this lovely little girl ( if a 7'4" beauty can be called 'little' ) starting to look so cute
However, this temporary lack of willingness concerns me. Everyone has a taste for instant gratification and getting results without effort. I hope I'm not getting lazy...
Yeah I'd bone her. Better than nothing right? Is doing this type of art time consuming? I'm doing a bunch of charator based acrylic paintings and some of them are starting to look like CGI's like your work. So I've been thinking about going digital as an option, but i do still like painting a shit load too. It's just that painting takes so long and doing point light source and perspective manually is tedious work.
