Red continued her tremendous pace, sprinting across the structure beyond the unhinged gate. Before her was the great field she'd crossed to travel to Furtheld. The courtyard was indeed intended to conduct safe passage out of the city for royalty. Nearby there must be a stronghold to which Amaroy was to be ushered, but Red could ill afford a moment to question the boy-King as to its' whereabouts... not with a rampaging krugg on the hunt!
The krugg itself slowed not a step, even as it reached the portal at the end of the courtyard. It ran right through the stone-bricked wall framing the gate as if it weren't there!
Red looked back as she heard the great crashing and crumbling of the rampart. She saw flying mortar and rock amongst a billowing cloud of dust, and in the midst was the armored krugg, still charging forward. It heeded not its' many wounds and maintained an incredible speed in its' pursuit. The monster was an unstoppable juggernaut and perhaps just as fast as the mighty paladin herself!
Red rededicated herself to running, her bulging thighs exploded with strength, pumping her forth ever more quickly.
Young King Amaroy, held tightly over Red's massive shoulder, gasped in ceaseless astonishment. This woman carried him as if weightless and he yet wore his full set of royal armor! No man he'd ever met was possessed of such raw power, much less a comely beauty such as she! The awesome female accelerated with such vigor that his cloak was yanked loose from about his neck and floated daintily onto the stairs his lovely rescuer had vaulted in a single leap.
The krugg cared not for Amaroy's amazement nor Red's determination. It redoubled its' own speed until it could run no faster and found itself gaining on its' prey!

Finally got a chance to get back to this. It was nice to have time to do non-essential work for a change! I think it's fair to say I'm out of my slump ( if you could call it that... )
